Student Clinic

The mission of student clinic is to provide a supportive environment where our advanced students can practice and perfect their skills in preparation for entering the field of professional bodywork. Student therapists utilize the clinic setting as an extension of their education by combining different approaches to incorporate the techniques they have learned. Planning effective sessions and choosing appropriate approaches to unique client situations are essential to the professional therapist. Students learn to use personal observations and information from client forms and interviews to design effective sessions.

Policies

WMTI is proud of the individuality and diversity of education of its students. In support of this we do not honor requests for male, female, specific therapists or particular styles of bodywork. If you have specific requests we recommend you seek a professional bodyworker.

Please arrive 10 minutes early to complete necessary paperwork, and prepare for your session. This will allow for a full hour session without feeling rushed.

Please call if you need directions or if you are running late. Late arrival for scheduled appointments will result in a massage therapy session of less than one-hour duration or missing your appointment entirely. If you arrive 10 minutes late you may have already been considered a "no show" and your appointment given to another client.

24-Hour Cancellation Policy. We respect the time and effort our students invest in their education by charging clients who do not show for scheduled appointments or cancel appointments with less than 24 hours' notice.

WMTI reserves the right to terminate the session or refuse appointments to persons behaving in an unethical or unacceptable manner.
