This class consists of discussion and meditation. We will explore the meditative state of normal reality and the use of the breath as the object of mediation. We will discuss various forms of meditation and the psychological and physiological benefits of meditation such as stress relief, reduction of pain levels, reduction of blood pressure, increasing a sense of peace and relation. The goal of this class is to develop mindfulness and awareness in everything that we do. If you can breathe, you can meditate. Handouts and a bibliography will be furnished.
