Event Description:	Geriatric refers to elderly persons recovering from or living with disease and/or disability. This course explores the physiological and sociological issues particular to geriatric clients. Specifics of common geriatric ailments, including strokes, hip replacements, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease will be discussed. Modifications of Swedish Massage techniques are taught as well as development of special methods and client assessment to suit each client's particular needs. Prerequisite: 102 Swedish Massage Instructor: Lauren Abele Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Bring sheets and 2 pillows.
