Message From the Director

Welcome to our inaugural newsletter issue. It has often been said that knowledge is power. At the Wellness and Massage Training Institute we have long empowered our students to change their lives and the lives of their clients through education and explanation. It is the intent of this newsletter to educate and inform readers of methods to improve their physical and emotional health by introducing information to them. It is your choice to change your patterns of behavior or to maintain your current practices. You are the only one in control of your actions. We all live out the consequences of our actions. We all can learn to make better choices.

Tip of the Month

The University of California – Berkeley Wellness Letter ( www.wellness letter.com) states that according to a report in Hepatology, acetaminophen (found in aspirin and Tylenol) overdosing is the leading cause of acute liver failure in the U.S. Massage therapy can be very effective in addressing some of the aches one would consume acetaminophen for. Consider making a massage appointment to address minor aches and soreness rather than taking a couple of aspirin on a daily basis.
