Continuing Education

Realizing that the pursuit of education and learning is a lifetime process, this program offers healthcare professionals and non-professionals the opportunity to expand their horizons and understanding of the healing process. The topics and courses reflect a variety of approaches and disciplines that range from the physical realm to the thought realm. The courses completed through these trainings may be applied as continuing education units for professional organizations and licensing boards.

The massage and bodywork field is increasingly attracting the attention of those seeking self-improvement and a greater knowledge of healing modalities as well as those seeking long-term training for personal and vocational reasons. Additionally, an ever-growing segment of healthcare professionals want or require continuing education to maintain the highest professional standards. WMTI provides courses that respond to all these varied needs.

An application and personal interview is not required to enroll in Continuing Education Courses. Participants take courses at their own pace limited only by necessary prerequisites. Students may take as many courses in Continuing Education as they desire. Several courses may satisfy requirements for certification programs in massage or bodywork independent of WMTI. Many of these courses may also meet the continuing education requirements of professional organizations. WMTI does not give a diploma or certificate for completing all or part of the Continuing Education courses. A transcript record is maintained by WMTI for all courses completed at the Institute by each student and is mailed to anyone taking a CE class at the end of a trimester.

In addition to the courses listed in this PDF file , students may enroll in many of the continuing education courses offered in the Massage Therapy Program provided prerequisites have been met. Contact the Institute Administrator for details.
