Spiral Synergy

…a healing conversation with the body

Spiral Synergy is about exploring the relationship between you and all things you interact with. In this healing conversation with the body, the practitioner seeks to engage the self-healing capacities of the body on physical, emotional, energetic and spiritual levels. As their interaction develops, the practitioner and recipient find areas of mutual recognition and together explore belief systems and affirm the ability to change these beliefs based upon new awareness and experiences. The coursework centers on developing one's healing consciousness, listening skills, and abilities to be with another in a non-judgmental, accepting way.

After the first introductory course students will be able to use gentle positioning and movements to facilitate balance and comfort. As they accumulate experience in using the techniques of Spiral Synergy, students are encouraged to become more aware of physical and energetic processes and patterns and to educate others about their own self-healing potential.

The following four courses comprise the Spiral Synergy program. Upon successful completion of all studies, graduates are issued a Certificate of Completion. The material is offered in a four day course format or integrated in two 16 week semesters meeting 4 hours per week.

Establishing the Healing Conversation – 32 hours

An introduction to the basic principles, skills and techniques that are the foundation of the Spiral Synergy approach. Students develop their listening skills on physical, emotional and energetic levels. They learn to be with their partner; to provide them with a supportive, affirming environment in which to explore past and current realities. Both practitioner and recipient learn to shift their consciousness and are empowered to adopt new beliefs and make different choices. Students learn how to begin a session, flow through the session listening to their intuitive inner voice, and how to bring their session to a close. Participants exchange full sessions of Spiral Synergy work incorporating the skills learned during the seminar.

Feeling the Currents – 32 hours

This aspect of the Spiral Synergy training develops and expands upon our energetic connection that ties all of nature together. Concepts such as creating and holding sacred healing space; pacing and timing; and connecting to and flowing with group mind are discussed and practiced. Participants practice playing the somatic melodies created by exploring the “space between the notes”. Concepts such as chakras, morphogenic fields, and channeling are introduced and discussed. Participants exchange full sessions of Spiral Synergy work incorporating new skills and awareness.

Communicating with Structure – 32 hours

In this stage of the Spiral Synergy approach students further develop their observation skills and synthesize sessions to address physical and energetic patterns they are drawn to when they first connect to the field of their client. Concepts such as neurolymphatic and neurovascular reflexes are introduced and explored. Re-education movements and self-work practices are experienced and incorporated into the session work. Static and dynamic postural considerations are discussed, observed and addressed. Participants exchange full sessions of Spiral Synergy work incorporating new skills and awareness.

Exploring Relationship – 32 hours

Understanding our place in nature and the myriad of relationships we find ourselves connected to in the endless web of the universe serves as the basis of this aspect of the Spiral Synergy approach. Participants explore the edges of their energetic fields as they relate to the energetic fields of others. This serves as the foundation to experience working with trauma patterns on all levels. Using some of the subtlest practices of the Spiral Synergy approach to bring recognition of dysfunctional patterns and offer new choices and experiences. Approaches to working with trauma, mental patterns and auras are practiced.

Discussion of the practitioner/client relationship explores the varied roles and interactions that one may encounter in a practice of Spiral Synergy approach. Discussion of ethics and boundary issues helps participants define their role in facilitating change in others.
